Bin-to-Picker AMR Solution

Get your operations under control

Your time, energy, and budget are stretched thin — having to maintain limited labour resources while meeting increasing customer demands creates some difficult challenges:

  • Late deliveries and missed orders
  • Below par order accuracy
  • Operational bottlenecks
  • Time wasted on micromanaging operations
  • Overuse and underuse of resources
  • Fulfilment errors due to overburdening existing labour
  • Inability to add system capacity quickly and cost effectively
  • Inability to maximise storage density

Increase your operations efficiency with the right mix of labour and automation by optimising your workforce with the Dematic Bin-to-Picker AMR solution — an integrated solution that provides the flexibility and scalability to meet your current and future order fulfilment demands.

Features and Benefits

AMRs are Autonomous Mobile Robots that automatically lifts and transports product SKUs to and from workstations.

The Bin-to-Picker AMR solution is a flexible and cost-effective application that efficiently handles day-to-day warehouse operations and can scale quickly to meet rapid changes in business needs and customer demand. Dematic Bin-to-Picker AMRs efficiently handle typical warehouse fulfilment operations such as:

  • Decanting: When inventory is received into your facility, the D30 model automatically moves it from decanting workstations to storage.
  • Storage and Retrieval: When inventory needs to be stored or retrieved, the D50 model automatically puts it into the storage racking or takes it from the storage racking.
  • Picking/Outbound: When inventory needs to be brought to picking workstations, the D30 brings totes to the workstations so operators can pick the required number of SKUs into an outbound package.

Reduces order fulfilment cycle times

Real-time inputs with on-demand methodology constantly balance workflows for the most efficient mix of labour and automation.

Increases operational efficiencies

Adapts to changing operational needs to support highly efficient order fulfilment, maximising use of resources and providing clear visibility into operations so you can make informed decisions.

Improves customer satisfaction

Reduced cycle times and quickly adapting to changing priorities provides the speed and flexibility necessary to meet consumer expectations for order delivery.

Preserves technology investments

Built on a foundation of proven warehouse subsystems that can scale easily and be expanded with other technologies to accommodate future growth.

Expert analysis

Our expert team works through an in-depth analysis to develop the optimal solution for your specific operations. The Dematic Solution Development team — working in lockstep with our Robotic Centre of Excellence, Operations Research, and AutoMod Simulation teams — use data modelling and detailed simulations to determine ideal layouts that optimise material flows, identify resource constraints, and ensure scalability.

Reliable fulfilment

Dematic Bin-to-Picker AMR solutions anticipate bottlenecks so you can keep ahead of order demands. Dematic Customer Service ensures peak performance by offering several levels of service contracts to match your operational needs.

Optimised workforce

Dematic Bin-to-Picker AMR solutions reduce fulfilment errors and stop overburdening existing workers with the right mix of automation. Bin-to-Picker AMRs saves your workforce from extensive walking as well as strenuous bending, reaching, and lifting.

Expected results

  • 98% or better system availability (outside of human error)
  • 99% or better order accuracy (outside of human error)
  • 250 to 500 lines per hour (LPH) per workstation (depending on fulfilment process)
  • Maximum storage capacity — double-deep and up-to 7 meters high
